The Campus Association for Bahá’í Studies (CABS) at Douglas College is a club dedicated to fostering unity through diversity among students. Inspired by Bahá’í principles, we focus on analyzing the needs of the community through meaningful conversations in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. We translate our ideas into action by engaging in service projects while learning to balance our studies and work, side by side with coherence. CABS aims to build a more compassionate and thoughtful campus by integrating discussions, workshops, and collaborative initiatives that will ultimately give back to the community.
Club purpose:
- Building unity amongst the Douglas community and other individuals from the lower mainland
- Analyzing the needs of our community and taking action on it through service projects
- Fostering an environment of inclusivity and diversity, where everyone feels safe to share their thoughts through meaningful conversations
- Developing our intellectual and spiritual capacities by applying our academic education to our service
- Help students balance their studies, work and service by integrating the concept of coherence and other topics from the writings of the Bahá’í Faith
