DSU PUNJABI STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION
The Punjabi Student Association (PSA) at Douglas College is a student-led club dedicated to celebrating Punjabi culture, language, and heritage while building a strong sense of community on campus. PSA provides a welcoming space for student to connect, share experiences and learn about Punjabi traditions through cultural events, social gatherings, workshops and community initatives. Our club promotes incluisivity, leadership, and cultural pride while encouraging new connections and friendships among students of all backgrouns. Whether you identify as Punjabi or simply interested in the culture, PSA offers opportunities to engage, learn and belong.
The purpose of the DSU Punjabi Students’ Association is:
Have meeting talking about Punjabi culture and it's practice for awareness.
Have religious ceremonies where people from every background can attend and explore the culture.
Furthermore have fun meetings/gatherings where people can come together and have a place to enjoy.
Have one or two big gatherings where students from different schools can come together and enjoy (will incoprorate Punjabi singers/rappers to include Punjabi spirit).
Furthermore, with these events we can make fundraisers for the school and use the money for good cause.
