    Harvey Polino

    DIRECTOR OF CAMPUS LIFE

    HE/HIM

    The Director of Campus Life is responsible for the implementation of students’ union events and activities and the coordination of sponsorship of college events. The Director of Campus Life, jointly with the Director of Membership Development, oversee the recruitment, training and coordination for the Students’ Union’s volunteer program.

    This year, Harvey is the chair of the DSU Campus Life Working Group, and is a member of Club Council, Labour Relations, and Budget and Operations Committees.

    Harvey also serves as the DSU Board of Directors Chairperson and Staff Relations Officer.

    DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

    HE/HIM

    The Director of Finance is responsible for the management of Student’s Union finances that includes long-term financial planning and production of regular financial reporting to the Board of Directors. The Director of Finance is also responsible for the oversight of Students’ Union service and the Students’ Union’s system of clubs.

    This year, Nithin is the chair of the DSU Budget and Operations Committee, and is a member of the Labour Relations, and Organizational Development Committees, and Club Council.

    DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS

    The Director of External Relations represents Douglas students outside the campus community and is responsible for coordinating the campaigns work of the Students’ Union. This position acts as a liaison between the Students’ Union and external organizations and works collective with other elected student across BC to represent students to all levels of government.

    This year, Chloe is the chair of the DSU Campaigns Working Group, and is a member of the Budget and Operations Committee and Social Justice Working Group.

    Chloe also serves as the BCFS Federation Representative for the DSU.

    DIRECTOR OF COLLEGE RELATIONS

    HE/THEY

    The Director of College Relations serves as the Board of Director’s primary source of contact with Douglas College, and is responsible for ensuring students’ voices are heard by the College and that students are fairly represented in the College’s systems of management and governance.

    This year, Emerson is a member of the DSU Campaigns and Social Justice Working Groups, and the Organizational Development, and Labour Relations Committees.

    DIRECTOR OF MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

    HE/HIM

    The Director of Membership Development is responsible for the implementation and operation of membership awareness initiatives, preparation of Students’ Union publications and assist Constituency Representatives with advocacy work. The Director of Membership Development, jointly with the Director of Campus Life, oversee the recruitment, training and coordination for the Students’ Union’s volunteer program.

    This year, Amar is the chair of the DSU Organizational Development Committee, and is a member of the Campus Life Working Group and Club Council.

    Amar works primarily out of the Coquitlam campus.

    ACCESSIBILITY REPESENTATIVE

    The Accessibility Representative is responsible for organizing the work of the Accessibility Collective and presenting the perspective of people living with disabilities to the Board of Directors. This position, like all constituency representatives on the Board of Directors, also aids in the implementation of campaigns, events, and membership awareness initiatives of the Students’ Union.

    This year, Cole is a member of the DSU Social Justice and Campus Life Working Groups.

    Indigenous Students' Representative

    POSITION IS CURRENTLY VACANT.

    The Indigenous Students’ Representative is responsible for organizing the work of the Indigenous Students’ Collective, and presenting an Indigenous perspective to the Board of Directors. This position, like all constituency representatives on the Board of Directors, also aids in the implementation of campaigns, events, and membership awareness initiatives of the Students’ Union.

    This position is a member of the DSU Social Justice Working Group.

    PRIDE REPRESENTATIVE

    The Pride Representative is responsible for organizing the work of the Pride Collective, and presenting the perspective of a diversity of gender and sexuality constructions and/or orientations to the Board of Directors. This position, like all constituency representatives on the Board of Directors, also aids in the implementation of campaigns, events, and membership awareness initiatives of the Students’ Union.

    This year, Margaret is a member of the DSU Social Justice Working Group and the Budget & Operations Committee.

    The Women Students’ Representative is responsible for organizing the work of the Women Students’ Collective, and presenting a women’s/feminist perspective to the Board of Directors. This position, like all constituency representatives on the Board of Directors, also aids in the implementation of campaigns, events, and membership awareness initiatives of the Students’ Union.

    This year, Kristina is the chair and a member of the DSU Social Justice Working Group, and is on the Campaigns Working Group.

    Kristina also serves as the DSU Board of Directors Deputy Chairperson
