Candidate Platform:

My name is Kaiden Martell, and I’m running to be your New Westminster Campus Representative. I believe that student representation is at root a simple affair that constitutes the meeting of two core principles: Surveying and Action. When performing in accordance with core values, there cannot be a better model for enacting positive change. 

Too often, students’ ideas or frustrations fall upon deaf ears or reach dead ends. I want to change that. If elected, I’ll oversee a system of online and in-person feedback where anyone can easily share what’s working, what’s not, and what they wish to see change. Furthermore, I will make sure that student concerns don’t disappear into silence. An important aspect of governance is transparency. By making it more accessible to receive responses and updates on important matters, I’ll help bridge the gap between student’s voices and the union's actions. 

The Students Union should fundamentally be driven by students’ voices. I truly believe governance should be straightforward, delivering results and meeting expectations. Vote for me to be Campus representative to have your needs met intentionally and effectively, and to ensure the Union is led by all of you.
