The purpose of the DSU Conservatives is:
Provide Douglas College students with opportunities to learn about Canadian Politics, federal and provincial systems.
Create a space for discussion, debate and education on political issues that affect students and communities in Canada.
Encourage student participation in political life through guest speakers, events and networking opportunities as a whole.
Build awareness of how students can get involved in political organizations, campaigns and policy development.
Strengthen civic responsibility by promoting respectful, informed and democratic dialogue on campus.
DSU Canadian Politics is a student led club that brings together Douglas College students interested in Canada's political system, history and current issues. Our goal is to create an inclusive space for discussions, debate and learning about federal and provincial politics. We host guest speakers, debates and workshops while also organizing monthly events that encourage students to get involved in civic life.
