DSU BURMESE STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

The Burmese Students' Association will aim to create valuable connections with Burmese students as well as other students interested in Burmese Culture. The events hosted by this club will expose the rich traditions of Myanmar while students make great memories and have fun. The club is planning to organize our first event called the Thadin Kywt festival (festival of lights) in October.

The purpose of the DSU Burmese Students’ Association is:

• Introduce students to Burmese culture, festivals, food and music.

• Provide a welcoming space for Burmese students to connect.

• Provide support and mentorship for new burmese students.

• Host workshops for students to learn about Burmese traditions and history.

• Meet and mingle with fellow burmese students and other international students, and domestic students.
